Hi, I’m Nina Laveson, co-owner of Kinkz Corporate Massage. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Hypnotherapist. It’s hard to believe that this is my 12th year but when you do what you love and find your passion time flies! I received my Therapeutic Massage Degree from Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in 1997 and my Hypnotherapy Certification from New Beginnings Center in 2002. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Renewable Natural Resources from the University of Arizona.
I have been doing Corporate Massage for the past nine years and have always used my massage table instead of the dreaded massage chair. When I met my business partner Nancy, I discovered that she also used only her massage table to do corporate massage and thus Kinkz was born! I view the body as a holistic system and recommend regular full body massage as work on one part of the body may be needed to treat another. A full body massage provides more energy and increases circulation.
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, I have lived in Arizona for twenty-nine years. Arizona is perfect for my lifestyle. I love being outside to run, hike or walk with my dog. I participated in the Los Angelos Marathon, something that I can say that I have done once in my life. I still love running but now prefer to stay with smaller events like the PF Chang half marathon. My favorite event though still remains a triathlon I participated in a few years back in Alaska to benefit the American Liver Foundation.
About 10 years ago I unexpectedly became a “single mom” to my 10 year old nephew as a result of the untimely death of my only sister, Andrea. I have always felt that the challenges that come up in our lives are what help us to grow and make us stronger. Being a mom is the hardest job there is and having that experience has been a true blessing. I thought that I would be the one teaching my nephew about life but the truth is that he is the one that taught me so many life lessons which have helped me learn more about myself.
Health and wellness have always been an important part of my life and massage has been a key ingredient in my wellness program. Since massage is cumulative if done on a regular basis the benefits are enormous. It has always been my goal to share the health benefits of massage with as many people as I can reach. By offering it in the workplace more will have the opportunity to experience the proven benefits of massage.
